Paper and Such Challenge - Paper Piecing

I  love paper piecing!  Yup! Yup!

So I was happy to see that this week's Paper and Such Challenge is to do some paper piecing!  I immediately thought to use my absolute favorite Paper and Such stamp called You Lift Me.

I started by printing that sentiment from my computer onto PTI sweet blush CS for the card base.  I chose some DSP from MME Dolled Up 6x6 paper pad.  I paper pieced both her dress and the balloon and colored the rest of her with copics.  I cut her out and adhered her with foam dimensionals.  I die cut the clouds from white felt with the TE Cloud Duo.

Now c'mon and play along with us!  There aren't a whole lot of rules here....because, well....
we want you to have fun and not have to worry about rules!

~ so....here are just a few stipulations ~
You can use any image, from anywhere in the whole entire world.
You may enter twice for each challenge - just to keep it fair.

Link up your creation on the Paper and Such Design Blog!
There's a prize up for grabs!

My final Guest DT post for All that Scraps

Today is my last post as the January / February Guest Designer for All That Scraps.  Wow!  That went by FAST!    I am so grateful that I was invited to do this!  I had a blast!

Now, on to my last 2 projects we go!

I decided to make a bookmark using the adorable C.C. Designs Swiss Pixie Woodland Lucy rubber stamp and the C.C. Designs Woodland Daisy rubber stamp.

I added a sentiment from the MFT Clearly Sentimental about Books.  The DSP is from the MME Dolled Up 6x6 paper pad.  I paired it woth some PTI hawaiian shores and raspberry fizz CS.  I addes some PTI raspberry fizz saddle stitch ribbon, a PTI white button, and some Twinery Blossom Light baker's twine.

Here are the copics I used:

And finally, I made a gift tag using the C.C. Designs Swiss Pixie Lucy rubber stamp:

I chose DSP from the MME Fiddlesticks 6x6 paper pad and I die cut the tag using the PTI Tag Sale #4 die.  I stamped the sentiment from the PTI Delightful Dahlia stamp set in Momento Tuxedo Black ink. I added some black grosgrain ribbon and natural jute. I colored the image with copics and used a clear star Gelly Roll pen to add some shimmer to her wings.  I did lots of fussy cutting to paper piece her dress, stockings, and ties in her hair.  I adhered with some foam dimensionals to pop her up.

Here are the copics I used:

That's all, folks!  My job here is done!  While my Guest Designer spot on All That Scraps has come to an end, I will still be around since I am now full fledged DT member for the ATS Challenge Blog!  Our next challenge is just two days away so be sure to play along with us!

SSS147 - Pawprints

Who's ready for another Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge?
Put your thinking caps on because you're going to need it for this sketch.

Korin Sutherland threw me for a loop when she created this sketch for us this week.  It's totally different than anything I have ever seen here on this sketch blog.  I was stumped for quite a while.  But, hey!  A challenge should be just that......a challenge!

Here's the sketch:

I was sifting through my stamps looking for something to jump out at me and then I came across one of my newest stamp sets called Puppy Love by There She Goes Clear Stamps.
PERFECT!

Cute, right?!  I stamped the image, colored it with copics and cut it out with a nesties.  I left the image in the nesties and sponged some SU crumb cake ink around it.  I used a scalloped circles nesties and some PTI dark chocolate CS to mat the image.  I adhered the image with foam adhesive.  I chose some DSP from the Echo Park Dots and Stripes Soda Fountain 6x6 paper pad.  I stamped the sentiment and paw prints from the Puppy Love stamp set in Momento rich cocoa ink.  I matted this with white CS and then mounted it onto a PTI dark chocolate card base.

WOW!  This card was featured on the Splitcoast Stampers Facebook page!

Be sure to check out what my fellow Sugarbabies have designed with this sketch for some added inspiration before you hop on over to the Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge blog and link up your creation!

Happy Friday!  It's time for another

This week are admiring a gorgeous creation by Heather Clump.
Be sure to hop on over and leave her some love for providing us with our inspiration for this week's sketch!

And here is the sketch:

And here is my take on the sketch:

I decided to color up this Krista Smith's adorable image from the Saturated Canary called Ice Cream and Pickles. I colored her with copics and forgot to keep aside all the copics so I don't have a list or pic to show you.  Sorry about that!  I stamped the PTI kraft CS base using PTI fresh snow ink and the SU polka dot background stamp.   I added some DSP from the My Mind's Eye Dwell 6x6 paper pad and some primrose vinatge seam binding.  I matted it with PTI dark chocolate CS and again with more DSP from the MME Dwell paper pad.

Here's how to play:
  • Create a paper crafting project (card, scrap book page or 3D item), based on the sketch provided.
  • Post your creation on your blog or an online gallery (using a code ISSC02), and link it up over on the iSpy Sketches blog. Please provide a direct link to your post - not the generic link to your blog.

PJ Crop in Seattle

I had the honor of being invited to PJ crop in Seattle this weekend hosted by Jessica Knutson, owner of There She Goes Clear Stamps.  Corinna McGregor, owner of the Ribbon Carousel, organized this crafting bonanza and we had a blast!  I slept no more than 13 hours in 3 nights while there because we were crafting up a storm and laughing our butts off!

Now cut us some slack because PJ's and make up free faces were mandatory!

Here's who was there:

I'd also like to publicly thank Jessica's cutie Patootie husband who cooked for us, carried our stuff, helped us out with internet problems, printer problems, and even a lift to the airport for me 1 1/2 hours away at 5:30 in the morning!  We was a big hit with this group of stampers!

Looking forward to next year already!  I had a blast and it was so great to meet these ladies with whom I have been chatting in cyber space for quite some time!
