ISSC09 - Hello Friend

Who is up for an iSpy Sketches Challenge today?

This week we are being inspired by the talented Emily Keaton!
We chose THIS card as the basis for our sketch:

Here is my take on the sketch:

I didn't think I would like my card when I saw the sketch because I knew I wasn't going to be doing any coloring which I love to do, but I must say......I like it!  It's so springy and happy!  I used some DSP from the Fancy Pants Be You 6x6 paper pad and paired is with PTI white and raspberry fizz CS.  The sentiment is from the Verve Hope Blooms stamp set (It's on sale right now!).  I used the MFT Die-namics mini rolled rose die and hand cut the leaves out of some PTI felt.  Oh, and that is some PTI raspberry fizz saddle stitch ribbon as well.

Here's how to play:
  • Create a paper crafting project (card, scrap book page or 3D item), based on the sketch provided.
  • Post your creation on your blog or an online gallery (using a code ISSC02), and link it up over on the iSpy Sketches blog. Please provide a direct link to your post - not the generic link to your blog.
  • A new challenge will be posted every Friday at 12.01 AM EST, and you have until noon on Wednesday EST to submit your entry.
  • You may enter as many times as you like, but please provide a newly designed project with a new link for each additional project.
  • We will choose the top 2 creations to be featured in our "Top 2 Thursday" post where we will announce who we have picked :) The winners will receive their very own iSpy Sketches blog badge!
  • Don't forget that you may combine our challenges with others and use supplies from any company that you wish :)
  • Have fun and we look forward to "spying:" your creations!
Be sure to check what the other Special Agents have created for some additional inspiration!

SNSDC47 - Joy Fold Cards

We've got a fun challenge for you this week at the Sweet N' Sassy Digi Challenge blog!  This week we are challenging you to make a joy fold card.  You can find the tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers HERE.

My dad is going to be retiring at the end of June and so I wanted to make a card for him using one of my favorite Sweet N' Sassy digi images called Ocean Paradise.

PERFECT for a retirement card, isn't it?  I colored the image with copics and and PTI kraft and black CS.  it with DSP from the Fancy Pants Designs Be You 6x6 paper pad.  Oh, and I paper pieced the umbrella.

Today is my last post as a member of the Sweet N' Sassy Digi Challenge DT member.  I've got a lot of things on my plate and I need to get my crafty life and real life back in balance so I am letting go of some of my DT work as terms come to end rather than staying on board.  Korin Sutherland was the first person to every offer me a design team position and so I will be forever grateful for her for noticing me and giving me a chance to get my name and my work out there!     I also want to thank Makiko Jones, our DT Coordinator, who has given us feel challenges week after week!  It's been a fun ride!  :)

I hope you will play along with us this week!

Just a few things to keep in mind as you play....
Please use digital images ONLY for the challenge.
~You don't have to use SNS digi images to play along but we sure do love when you do!
~Please share a link to your creation using the Linky Tools feature at the end of this post. If Linky Tools is down, please add a link with your comment.
~When uploading to online galleries, please use keyword SNSDC47.

Now hop on over to the Sweet 'N Sassy Digi Challenge blog to see what my fellow DT members have created and then link up your project!

I think we can all remember back to a time when we idolized our parents, most of us still do, and we wanted to grow up to be JUST like them. I mean, what girl HASN’T put on their mom’s shoes, and what boy hasn’t worn Dad’s tie? Just in time for Mother and Father’s Day, Torico has illustrated the CUTEST dress up set I have EVER seen!!

When I Grow Up is a 4x6 set that includes a total of 15 stamps and will sell for $15.00.

I LOVE this set!  Hoe stinkin' cute is this little boy?!?  What a sweet Father's Day card this will make.  It reminds me so much of my son who loves to dress like his Daddy.  I colored the image with copics and paired it with some DSP from the Echo Park This & That Charming 6x6 paper pad and some PTI kraft, harvest gold, and dark chocolate CS.
