SPDSS12 - Never Die

Looking for a little sketchy inspiration?  Look no further than the SugarSketch #12
I had to play along with the new SugarPea Designs Undying Love.  I just can't get enough of those zombies!  Seriously, they are the best zombies on the market!

I paired some PP from the My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Halloween 6x6 paper pad with some MFT black licorice, whip cream, and kraft CS.   I used my Perfect Paper Crafting Perfect Layers Mini and Perfect Mat  and the MFT Die-namics pierced circle STAX to to mat my panels.

I stamped my image with MFT black licorice hybrid ink.  I colored him with copics and paper pieced his jacket.  I used a black General's Pastel Chalk pencil to add some shading.  The sentiment is from the Undying Love stamp set.    I also used the Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamp Trick or Treat set to stamp the spider web and the bats.

Here is the sketch:

Perfect Paper Crafting and Lawn Fawn Hop

Today the Perfect Paper Crafting Design Team is collaborating with the Lawn Fawn Design Team to bring you a blog hop loaded with inspiration!   There are prizes up for grabs so keep on reading!

My card features the Lawn Fawn Snow Day stamp set.

Notice my perfectly matted image panel?  I love to mat with black CS.  I think it really makes the image pop.   I used the Perfect Paper Crafting Perfect Layers Mini and Perfect Mat to mat my image panel with a 1/16" mat and then I used the Perfect Ruler to center the image on the white card base.  The centering ruler makes it so easy!    Don't forget to use the code KIM5% when you order your tools from Perfect Paper Crafting for an extra 5% off your entire order!

I must admit....I love how my sky turned out!   I sponged on some Tim Holtz faded jeans, salty ocean, and tumbled glass distress inks.  First, I spritzed with water and let it dry.   I then layered the Simon Says Stamp Falling Snow stencil over it and pressed a damp cloth over it.  Finally I brushed a clear Wink of Stella pen over the sky  and quickly rubbed my finger over it to remove any brush marks and spread out the glitter,

Ready to hop?!

Be sure to leave some love for the designs as you do to be eligible for the prizes!  Perfect Paper Crafting will be giving away 2 prizes (winner's choice) and Lawn Fawn will be giving away one stamp set and one 6x6 paper pad of their choice to one lucky winner!

The hop will run through October 3rd.  The Lawn Fawn Designers will be posting their work on the Lawn Fawn Blog each day so be sure to check back!

DS170 - Ho Ho Ho

Welcome to this week's addition of the Deconstructed Sketch Challenge #170.
This week's sketch had feeling inspired to pull out some Holiday patterned paper and stamps.

I chose some PP from the Echo Park This & That Christmas 6x6 paper padand paired with some MFT whop cream and black licorice CS.  I used my Perfect Layers Mini and Perfect Mat to mat my card.

I stamped the cute snowman from the Simon Says Stamp with Clearly Besotted Cute Christmas Characters stamp set in MFT black licorice ink and colored him with copics.

Simon Says..............Anything Goes!

I have the honor of being the Simon Says Stamp Designer in the Spotlight this month and I am playing along with the very talented Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge DT.

This week, Simon Says.........
Anything Goes!

The Design Team is featuring products from Hero Arts.  While this is not required to enter this week's challenge, we would love it if you do use some Hero Arts products n your creations!

When I was scrolling through all the Hero Arts stamp sets this awesome cling background stamp called Large Flower caught my eye.

Gorgeous, right?!   I stamped the background in MFT black licorice hybrid ink and colored it with copics (RV09, RV06, RV04, RV02, YG67, YG63, and BG10).  I used the MFT Die-namics Blueprints 12 to die cut my image panel and a separate sentiment panel that has a stitched line across the bottom.

I matted with MFT black licorice CS and tied some MFT gumdrop green ribbon to embellish.   I stamped the sentiment from the Hero Arts Say It All  clear stamp set in MFT black licorice hybrid ink.   I love the handwritten font!

As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store!  You can enter up to FIVE times, as long as they are all NEW creations (no backlinking)!  Head on over to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog to link up your creation!  Have fun!
