He's Makin' a List

Have you seen the new C.C. Designs Sassy Santa's?   They are a fun little trio of Santa's with some great little sentiments!   They are the perfect size Santa's for tags, but I decided to show one of them off on a card today using some of the great new nesting dies!.

I die cut the kraft panel with the new Cutter Squares #1 and then used a stippling brush and some of the Snow Storm Ink to create the snow fall.   I used the new Cutter Big Scalloped Squares to add the scalloped layering panel.

I stamped my image in Momento tuxedo black ink and colored it with copics.  I added some family names to Santa's list.

Lost Without You

I have been out of the challenge loop for awhile, but I came across the Fusion Card Challenge blog and I loved the inspiration photo and the sketch so I had to play along!

I inked up the SugarPea Designs Lost Without You stamp set.

I colored my image with copics and then die cut the image with the SugarPea Designs SugarCuts - Zig Zag Stitched Rectangles.  I matted my panels and then used the SugarPea Designs SugarCuts - Zig Zag Stitched Circles to die cut the circular panels.  The papers are from the Echo Park "The Story of Fall" 6x6 paper pad.

Don;t you love the detail of the zig zag stitching?!

Here is the inspiration photo and Sketch from the Fusion Challenge:

SPD21 - It Moose Be Love

It's time to play along with  SugarPea Designs' latest monthly theme challenge and there is no reason NOT to play along because it is an "Anything Goes" theme!  Just make whatever your crafty little heart desires and link up to our challenge!

I played along with the Merry Christmoose stamp set and made a lovey dovey card that would be prefect for an anniversary card or "just because" card.

I did a little masking so that I could stamp the moose twice and create a moose couple.  I gave them gender appropriate scarves.   I create the background, I die cut the kraft panel using the SugarCuts - Zig Zag Stitched Rectangles.  I used the same die and die cut a panel from white card stock which I tore to create the snowy border and layered on top of the kraft panel.  I used a stippling brush and some white pigment ink to create the snowfall and then stamped a few larger snowflakes using an accessory stamp from the Merry Christmoose stamp set.   I stamp three little hearts above their heads using an accessory stamp from the Noted stamp set.

We only have a few rules…
  • Play along with ANY stamps and dies you’d like – Winner is chosen at random to keep things fair, but if the winners project features a SugarPea Designs stamp we will increase the voucher to $15
  • Feel free to combine our challenge with any other challenge(s)
  • Upload to your blog or other online gallery using keyword: SPD21 so we can easily find your work.
  • Add your name and link to your card or project in the InLinkz on the SugarPea Designs Blog

SPDSS31 - Grapevine

SugarPea Designs has another fun SugarSketch for us tackle!
I played along with the Wine Not stamp set.

I die cut my image using the the SugarCuts - Heart Journl Card and created the notch in that panel using a circular die from the SugarCuts - Layered Treat Labels.  I stamped the sentiment on banner I created using a die from the SugarCuts - Gift Card.

I colored my image with copics and General's Pastel Chalk Pencils and used a white gel pen to add the polka dots to her dress and headband and the freckles to her cheeks.

Here is the sketch:

The rules are very simple…
  • Create a new card or project using the SugarSketch provided.  SugarPea Designs stamps are NOT required to play along or to win but would be appreciated :)
  • You may rotate/flip the sketch & replace shapes – so long as the original sketch layout is recognizable.
  • Upload to your blog or other Online Gallery using Keyword: SPDSS30 so that we may check out your beautiful work.
