Introducing "My Hero"

I combined my DT work for Tiddly Inks with my DT work for the Deconstructed Sketch.  I used the latest and greatest Deconstructed Sketch for my inspiration.

Here's the sketch which I flipped on its side:

Elf Lucy

Oh, it's getting really chilly now here in the Boston area.  It is in the low 30's in the mornings now.  Sigh.  Winter is coming. The ONLY good thing about winter is Christmas........Christmas lights, decorations. and of course, STAMPS!

Here is a card I made with C.C. Designs Swiss Pixie Elf Lucy.

I used the Stampin' Up polka dot background stamp with PTI fresh snow ink.   I paper pieced the band on the ornament using some PP from Bo Bunny Mistletoe 6x6 paper pad.

Autumn Burlap Wreath

After discovering that there is a Hobby Lobby only 30 minutes from my home, I took a ride to check it out.   Creativity overload!   I was inspired to try and make a burlap wreath for my back door. You can find my tutorial on making burlap wreaths HERE!

I used a wire wreath frame, some 2 1/2 inch wired burlap ribbon and some fall flowers.   This took me about 1 1/2 hours to make.  Not bad at all!

MFTWSC147- Thanks

Happy Saturday!   I will soon be heading North to check out Hobby Lobby!  I had NO idea there was a Hobby Lobby in Manchester, NH which is just 30 minutes North of me!  My 11 yo daughter who inherited the crafty gene is looking forward to our field trip today.

Before I getting on the road, I played along with the MFTWSC147!

I played along with the MFT Fall Foliage stamp set and coordinating Die-Namics.  I stamped the leaves onto kraft CS in wild cherry, tangy orange, and lemon drop ink.  I ran the smooth white CS panel through the Big Shot in the Darice stripe embossing folder and then used a pain brush to splatter some kraft ink.

I used the MFT Die-Namics circle STAX to cut the circular panel out of burlap which adds nice texture to the card and then I layered that over the die cut from the MFT Die-Namics Decorative  Doily.   I stamped the sentiment in hot fudge ink and added a hot fudge button and some hemp cord to embellish.

TSG Snowman Soup Blog Hop Challenge

Welcome to DAY  of the There She Goes Clear Stamps blog hop challenges!
This set from Chaitali is perfect for all sorts of holiday gift giving needs, from bag toppers, to mini cards, or whatever else you need…with 25 images to chose from, there is something for everyone!

Snowman Soup is a 4x8 set that includes a total of 25 stamps and will sell for $18.00.

I started with a 4.75" x 4" piece of CS and scored at the 2" mark to create the topper.

I stamped the label in MFT red hot ink.   I stamped the sentiment and reindeer in Momento tuxedo black and colored the reindeer with copics.  I added some Diamond Glaze to the reindeer's nose.  I found those candies in AC Moore and thought they would be prefect for reindeer noses.  I adhered the topper to the clear bag.

Would you like to win the new Snowman Soup set? Here is what you need to do-visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges below and comment on their creations as you go. One of the Trendsetter’s blogs (from each hop day) will be randomly chosen as the ‘it’ blog and a winner will be picked using a random number generator from the comments left on that Trendsetter’s Blog Hop Challenge post.

You will not know which blog has been chosen so the more you comment on the better your chances are of winning new stamps! The Blog Hop Challenges will be open until 5 PM Eastern Time Saturday, October 26th with the winner being announced during the release party chat.
