RCC64 - Christmas in July

Dig out those Holiday stamps. peeps, because our one and only Lindsay Amrhein is challenging us to whip us some Christmas creations for this week challenge!

Here's my card:

I decided to ink up a way too cute There She Goes Clear Stamps set called Ho Ho Ho.  I stamped the image in Momento tuxedo black ink onto X-Press It blending card, colored the image with copics, and cut him out.  I used the MFT-Die namics oval STAX on a random scrap of DSP and adhered Santa.  I stamped the snowflakes in Papertrey Ink vintage cream ink onto the Bazzill Card Shoppe peanut cluster card base.   I ran the wax lips CS panel through the Big Shot in the SU square lattice embossing folder. I adhered it to the card base and rounded the corners with the corner chomper.  I popped up the oval panel with foam dimensionals and then added some of that beautiful red / ivory check ribbon.

Head on over to the Ribbon Carousel blog to play along with us
and link up your creation there!

ISSC26 - Thinkng of You

There's a new iSpy Sketches Challenge ready and waiting for you!  It's a bittersweet day for me.  Today is my last post as an iSpy Sketches DT member.  While I am excited to be moving on to new adventures as part of the Kraftin' Kimmie DT, I am sad to be leaving such an amazingly talented group of designers.  I'm still scratching my head trying to figure out how in the heck I made it into this group of crafty rock stars led by the one an only Kim Teasdale!  I have had a blast being part of this group of F-U-N women and I am so thankful for having been part of this DT for the past 6 months!

Now, on to the challenge!

Therese Calvird is serving us up with a hefty dose of crafty inspiration for this week's challenge.  It is THIS stunning CAS card of hers that is the inspiration for this week's challenge.

Here's my take on the sketch:

When I saw the sketch, I immediately thought to pull out one of my favorite Hero Arts stamp sets called Delicate Blossoms.  I stamped the image in Momento Tuxedo black ink onto X-Press It blending card.  I colored the image with copics and added some shimmer to the base of the blossoms with a clear At You Spica pen.  I stamped the A Muse Studios woodgrain background stamp on PTI melon berry CS with VersaMark Ink. The sentiment is from the SU Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.  I matted the image panel and the background panel with PTI terracotta tile CS and mounted that on a Bazzill Card Stock marshmallow CS card base.

Here is the sketch:

CMC Copic Challenge sponsored by Kraftin Kimmie

Just in case you missed my bog news yesterday, I am going to shout it from the roof tops again today!

I'm a Krafty Girl!
Kim Reid invited me to join the Kraftin Kimmie Design Team!

The design team is crazy talented, of course, but also slightly crazy so I feel very at home with my new teammates!  It's a great feeling!  I am definitely going to have lots of F-U-N working with my new peeps!

As part of my debut week as a Krafty Girl, I am participating in the CMC Copic Challenge which is being sponsored by none other than Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!
It's an "anything girly" challenge.

I went  little nutty and did some serious damage to my Pay Pal account once I got my DT discount code from Kimmie and all of my new stamps showed up the other day.  I think I had an anxiety attack trying pick which image I was going to in ink up first, but in the end I decided on the new Moonlight Whispers Marilyn image which was SO fun to color!

***  Good news!  This image is back and stock and selling like hot cakes so go and grab your now if you've been waiting! ***

I used the PTI Background Basics: Houndstooth stamp to create the grate.
Here are the copics I used:

Skin - E11, E00, E000, R20, R30
Hair - YY21, Y23, YR21, YR24
dress and shoes - E43, E41
Eyelids - Y28, Y26 (with  clear Star gelly roll pen for shimmer)

I embossed the sentiment from the Kraftin Kimmie Everyday Sentiments stamp set with white embossing powder and added that gorgeous antique gold silky crushed ribbon from the Ribbon Carousel.

The Ribbon Carousel is sponsoring this week's Dude Time Doodles Challenge which is an "Anything Goes" challenge as long as the card is for a "Dude."  I think this fits!  :)

My BIG NEWS!

Today is the day I can finally share my BIG NEWS!

Kim Reid invited me to join the
Kraftin' Kimmie Design Team!

Yep, that's right!  I'm a Krafty Girl!   Joining the current ridiculously talented Krafty girls was A-MAZ-ING as it was and then I found out that Kimmie added not only me but 3 other new Krafty Girls to the team!  Go check out who they are over on the Kraftin' Kimmie blog!  I'm SO excited!  I will give you one hint.......Meatball.  That's all I'm saying.
Go look for yourself!

Today is my first day participating in the weekly challenges as a DT member! (wiping tears of joy from my eyes).  Kraftin' Kimmie is also sponsoring this week's challenge over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and we have identical challenges this week so be sure to play along and link up your creations for an extra chance to win some "rubbah" from Kimmie!

Today the Krafty Girls are challenging you do to do some stitching (real or faux) on your creations for the KKS138.  For those of you you who have a sewing machine phobia like I did, get over it!  I got the Janome Sew Mini for Mother's Day and that scary thing just stared at me for weeks from its box.  Finally, I got brave enough to try it while watching the Stamp TV four part video tutorial series that actually begins with taking it out of the box.  EXACTLY what I needed!   I was sewing in less than 45 minutes.  I still am working on straight lines and perfecting this skill, but I'm doing it!  I'm sewing!  This is actually only the 2nd card I've made with stitching.  If I can do it, you can, too.

I inked up one of the adorable images from the Spingtime Lulu stamp set.
I paired some Bazzill Card Shoppe peanut cluster, marshmallow, and candy bar CS with some DSP from the EP Sweet Day.  I stamped the image in Momento tuxedo black ink onto X-Press It blending card and colored it with copics.  I attached my tag with some natural jute.

Krafty Girl Kerry Johnson is our hostess with the mostess so the winner of this week's challenge will win an assortment of trinket stamps.  Hop on over to the Kraftin' Kimie blog to see the crafty eye candy  Cheryl and the other Krafty Girls have created this week!

Have you tried the Bazzill Card Shoppe Card Stock yet?!

Bazzill has been working with its paper mills to create the perfect premium, smooth, heavy-weight cardstock that will be a sweet treat for every card-maker. Now available in 28 coordinating colors. We are thrilled to be teaming up with Bazzill today to show off their amazing new card stock!  Today is National Lollipop Day so the Ribbon Carousel Crewmates have created some crafty eye candy with this theme!

Here is my card:

I paired some marshmallow, candy hearts, cotton candycandy bar, and peanut cluster card stock with some DSP from the Echo Park Happy Days 6x6 paper pad.  The image is the C.C. Designs Lolli Beatrice. I paper pieced her lollipop with some cotton candy CS, added some shadows with my copics and added some Diamond Glaze to make it glossy.  I embellished with 3 silver brads and some yummy walnut brown vintage seam binding.
