DS175 - Make a Wish

Welcome to this week's addition of the Deconstructed Sketch.
I fell in love with this Teddy Bea "When You Wish Upon a Star" image when I saw it and this week's sketch was the perfect fit.

I chose some papers from the Doodlebug Design Frosty Friends.

I printed my image on some PTI white card stock and colored her with copics.  I used a General's black pastel chalk pencil to add some depth to the shading and I used a Wink of Stella clear glitter pen to add some shimmer to her wings and the star on her wand..

Here's the sketch:

SPDSS14 - Get Well Wishes

Looking for a little sketchy inspiration?  The play along with the SugarSketch #14!
I am playing along with the sweet SugarPea Designs Sniffles and Snuggles stamp set.

I paired some PP fro the Doodlebug Design Frosty Friends 6x6 paper pad with some PTI white card stock and some MFT sno cone card stock.

I stamped my image in MFT black licorice hybrid ink and colored it with copics.  I did some paper piecing for the blankets.   I used a white gel pen to add the polka dots to the sheets.

Here's the Sketch:

DS174 - The Nice List

I have been off the MFT Design Team since the end of June and I went a little crazy buying a bunch of new stamp sets from different companies that I had been eye balling, but had no time to use.  Then, MFT released this awesome new stamp stamp set called Jingle All the Way and I had to have it..........along with a few other things.  :)   I am a huge fan of Torico and her Birdie Brown line and I just could not resist these happy little Santas!  So, I inked up one of them to play along with this week's Deconstructed Sketch challenge #174.

He makes me want to dance!  I used some distress inks to create the sky and used the new MFT Die-namics Stitched Snow Drifts (say that 3 times fast) as well as some Aleene's True Snow to create the snowy scene.   I used some ribbon from the Really Reasonable Ribbon October 2014 Ribbon Club kit.   That's a really good deal, by the way!  Sign up and receive a cool stash of ribbon automatically each month for only $9!

Here's a close up of this cute little guy that I colored with copics.

Thankful for You

Today I am combining the latest SugarPea Designs Challenge #10 (the theme is "Give Thanks" with a little sketchy inspiration from the Retro Sketches #137.

My card features the SugarPea Designs Bountiful Blessings stamp set.
I just love this sweet little scrarecrow!

I stamped the MFT Woodgrain Background stamp ink onto kraft card stock.  I used painter's tape to tape off the area so that I could stamp only in the space in which I wanted to stamp.   I use dthe new MFT Die-Namics rectangle STAX for the image panel and die cut the image itself using teh MFT Die-namics Circle STAX.

I colored my image with copics and used a white gel pen to add the freckles to her cheeks.

We only have a few rules…
  • Play along with ANY stamp you’d like – Winner is chosen at random to keep things fair, but if the winners project features a SugarPea Designs stamp we will increase the voucher to $15
  • Feel free to combine our challenge with any other challenge(s)
  • Upload to your blog or other online gallery using keyword: SPD10 so we can easily find your work.
  • Add your name and link to your card or project in the InLinkz on the SugarPea Designs blog
