Your Next Stamp and Perfect Paper Crafting Blog Hop

Today I have the honor of participating in the Your Next Stamp and Perfect Paper Crafting blog hop!  I am a huge fan of Perfect Paper Crafting's Perfect Layer tool,......so much so that I am a brand ambassador!   If you follow my blog, you know I do a lot of matting with black or brown CS and the Perfect Layers tool is my secret weapon!   Be sure to use coupon code Kim5% to get 5% off your order!

So, let me show you how I created something using the adorable Barnyard Love stamp set from Your Next Stamp and the Perfect Layers tool.

I colored my image with copics, fussy cut the image and layered it over the scene I created.  I used the Perfect Layers tool to mat my panels with a 1/16" inch border.

I am also entering this card in the Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge #230.
Here's a close up of my coloring and a list of copics I used.

Now, lets talk PRIZES!

Our hop will run through Friday Oct. 4 at midnight.
Perfect Paper Crafting is giving away a $50 gift certificate to Perfect Paper Craftin's online store and Your Next stamp is also giving away a $50 gift certificate to their store to two lucky winners. Make sure to leave comments on all the blogs in order to be eligible for the drawing.

A Birthday Quickie

Catchy title?  Get your mind out of the gutter!  I just wanted to show a birthday card I made in 10 minutes flat.   As a card maker, it goes against every grain of my body to buy a card.  I just can't do it.  When I realized I had no masculine birthday cards on hand and the clock was ticking before I needed to head out the door to bring my son to a party, I whipped this up thanks to the MFT Plaid Background Builder stamp set!

Our town colors are red and black so I created stamped the plaid background builder stamps in MFT black licorice and red hot ink onto MFT smooth white CS.  I used the PTI by the numbers dies to due cut the number "10" and then ran the numbers through the Big Shot in a Darice Stripes embossing folder for some texture.  I used the PTI Big Birthday Wishes stamp set for the wording.

TSG Henna Swirls Blog Hop Challenge

Welcome to DAY 4 of the There She Goes sneak peeks!  Our first set being released by our new designer Chaitali Narla is Henna Swirls. It will be the most gorgeous addition to your CAS creations, scrapbook pages, and perfect for background building!! There are tons of ways to use these gorgeous borders!

Henna Swirls is a 2x6 set that includes a total of 2 stamps and will sell for $9.00

I went for a gradient look here and added panels of PTI harvest gold, summer sunrise, and orange zest CS.  I stamped the flowers onto a PTI white panel in Momento tuxedo black ink and colored the flowers with Copics (YR18, YR16, Y17, Y15, Y13),  I used one of the MFT Happy Hellos Die-Namics for the sentiment.   I used a black glaze pen on the dots in between the flowers.

Would you like to win the new Henna Swirls?  Here is what you need to do- visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges below and comment on their creations as you go. TSG Halloween Tags Blog Hop Challenge

It's DAY 3 of the There She Goes sneak peeks and today we have another SUPER fun set from Melyssa, one that will get you ready for all your Halloween gift giving ideas!!

Halloween Tags is a 4x8 set that includes a total of 19 stamps and will sell for $18.00.

I wanted to show you how you can combine some of our other new Halloween stamp set with this stamp set so I used a frame and sentiment from the "Halloween Tags" stamp set and an image from the "No Trick Only Treats" stamp set. Just because it is called "Halloween Tags" doesn't mean you can still make things other than tags!  Here's a CAS card I made.

The sentiment pairs perfectly with the image!   I colored my image with copics.  I used a die from the MFT Blueprints 2 Die-Namics for the stitched flags.  I popped my image up with foam dots.

I am entering this card in the Tuesday Throwdown Challenge #166 (CAS).
