MOJO217 - Teddy Bear Love

I got some new goodies in the mail today, but before I ink them up, I had to finish this card that I started making this morning.   I loved the MOJO217 sketch so I colored up this cute Teddy Bo before work and put the card together tonight.

I am slightly obsessed with this gorgeous 7/8" red / ivory check ribbon from the Ribbon Carousel.  I have to order more!  I want to wrap presents in kraft paper and tie this ribbon around te packages.  ANYWAY, back to the card.  I used PTI vintage cream, fine linen, kraft, pure poppy and dark chocolate CS.  I ran the kraft panel through my big shot with the SU square lattice embossing folder.    I added a PTI dark chocolate button and some natural jute / twine.  The sentiment is from the SU teeny tiny wishes stamp set.

Here is the sketch:

Last post as JUGS Guest DT - JUGS112 - 3d templates

This is my 2nd post of the day.
If you are here for the Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge, click HERE!

Well, it has been a fun ride playing along with the Just Us Girls DT this past month!  Today is my last week as the Guest Designer.  Sniffle sniffle!  Andrea is challenging us this week to make something from a 3D template and she gave us THIS SCS link as an example, but you can make anything you'd like!  I decided to get a jump start on making a Christmas gift for my son's teacher so I made some personalized note cards for her and then used the PTI "From the Desk of" Timeless Template to house them.  You can purchase the template from Papertrey Ink for $5.00 by clicking on that link.  It is immediately available for download after purchasing.  The directions and design ideas will be included in the template.

Here's another view with a shot of one of the personalized note cards:

Be sure to hop on over to the Just Us Girls Challenge Blog  to see what the talented DT has created for this week's challenge!  Thanks again to the JUGS DT for inviting me to play along with them this month!  It's been a blast!  :)

Designs called Nora on a Swing.

Here's the sketch:

PTI November Blog Hop

Finally had a chance to participate in a PTI blog hop!  Haven't done this in awhile, but the day after Thanksgiving is a lazy one for me and perfect day to participate.  I steer clear of the Black Friday madness!    Here's my card:

And here's the inspiration photo:

I was drawn to the horizontal lines of the stairs which was the inspiration of my lay out.  I used the PTI woodgrain impression plate to mimic the hardwood floors.  I pulled in the evergreens with the wreath.  I used PTI kraft, pure poppy, vintage cream, and black CS to mimic the color scheme.  I added some beautiful 7/8" red/ ivory check ribbon from the Ribbon Carousel with a PTI pure poppy button and some natural jute / twine to pull in the gingham pillow.   I used the following PTI stamp sets:  Wreath for All Seasons and Background Basics: Christmas.

Thanks for hopping by!

Paper and Such Challenge - No Coloring

If you are here for the Ribbon Carousel challenge, scroll down or click HERE!

It's time for another Paper and Such challenge and this one was just that for me.....a big 'ol challenge!  No coloring.  That's right.  STEP AWAY from your copics, ladies.  Put down those colored pencils.  Just stamp and walk away.   This made me step WAY outside of my comfort zone.  Here's what I finally came up with in the end after much struggling.......

I decided to use the Clean and Simple Stamping Sketch #167 as my inspiration.  I started with a PTI white CS base.  I die cut a PTI black circle with a nesties and then stamped some text from the PTI Background Basics: Text Style stamp set in PTI fresh snow ink. I stamped the Paper and Such Poppies in Momento Tuexedo Black ink onto PTI white CS cut it out, and adgered it to the black circle panel.  The sentiment is also from the Paper and Such Poppies stamp set.    I added a couple of black rhinestones to embellish.

Now head on over to the Paper and Such blog and link up your creation for a chance to win a prize along with a cool bragging rights badge for your blog!  You can use ANY image you want.  It does not need to be an image sold in the Paper and Such store, but we sure love it when you do!   The only rule is that you can't enter more than twice.  That's it.  Just that one.  Be sure to check out some additional inspiration from my fellow DT members!

RCC30 - Holiday Hoopla

Tuesday means it is time for another challenge over at the Ribbon Carousel Challenge blog!  With the holidays upon us, Lindsay is challenging us to make a creation celebrating a holiday! Any holiday will do, Hanukkah, Christmas, Thanksgiving, or even New Year’s if you’re that far ahead!
Our sponsor this week is the fabulous Jenny of, you guessed it, Jenny Suchin Designs!

Jenny will be sending one fabulous randomly selected participant her Owl See You In Class stamp set!

I just can't get enough of this funny "Get Basted" digi image by Whimsie Doodles so I figured I'd sneak in on last creation with it before Thanksgiving comes and goes!

I printed the image on PTI vinatge cream CS and colored it with copics.  I paired the PTI dark choclate and harvest gold CS with some DSP from the DVWV Harvest Gatherine Mat Stack.  I added some Ribbon Carousel 5/8" orange sheer ruffled edge ribbon, a PTI dark chocolate button, and some Ribbon Carousel lemon Divine Twine.

Now it is your turn to play along with us for a chance to win that adorable stamp set by Jenny Suchin Designs!  Your creation can be anything from cards, quilts, sewn items, paper crafts, paintings!  Be sure to have ribbon, bakers twine, jute twine, lace, thread (basically anything that comes on a spool). Link up your creation at the challenge blog!

Have a Holly Jolly Christmas

Saw this cute little Ava Christmas - Mistletoe Fairy digital stamp by Bugaboo Digi Stamps, I had to color her up and make a Christmas card with her.

I sponged some Tim Holtz distress ink in antique linen and tea dye around the edges of the of the image and sentiment panels.  I added some shimmer to the holly leaves / wings with a clear star Gelly Roll pen.  That pretty ribbon is the Ribbon Carousel's 1" red grosgrain / satin edge ribbon.  I die cut the ribbon buckle with Memory Box Simple Buckles from a PTI coaster, sponged some SU chocolate chip ink onto it, and covered it wit Glossy Accents.   I added a  few red pearls to embellish.  The sentiment is by A Muse Artstamps and the DSP is DCWV Homemade Christmas Mat Stack and MME's Signature Christmas.

SSSC144 - Rhubarb's Stocking

I love a good Sunday morning when we have have no plans for the day!  Pajamas, coffee, and time to craft!  I am playing along with the Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge #144 and I decided to use Rhubarb's Stocking to play along.  I am slightly obsessed with Rhubarb.  :)  I love coloring him!

I color him with copics (E57, E55, E53, and E51 for his body, R29, R24, and R05 for the stocking, and R59, YG17, and YG13 for the holly) and then cut him out with an oval nesties.  I kept the image in the nesties and sponged some Tim Holtz distress ink in peeled paint around the image with a sponge dauber.  I used a scalloped nesties with PTI pure poppy CS to mat the image.  The card base is PTI kraft and I stamped a few A Muse Art Stamps snowflakes in PTI vintage cream ink onto it.  I layered some DSP from the Echo Park Season's Greeting paper pad onto PTI pure poppy CS.  I added some yummy Ribbon Carousel spring green vintage seam binding, a PTI vintage cream button, and some natural jute / twine.  Three red pearls completes the card!

SSS135 - Rhubarb Santa

Another work week down!  Nice!  Saturday means it is time for my favorite sketch challenge!  For this week's Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge #135, I decided to make a Christmas card using the Rhubard Santa digital stamp.  I just love this little teddy bear!

I colored Rhubard up with copics and cut him out.  I sponged some Christmas themed text from the PTI Background Basics: Christmas in SU crumb cake ink onto PTI vontage cream CS.  Then I distressed the edges and sponged on some PTI tea dye duo ink .  I matted that in PTI dark chocolate CS.  I popped Rhubarb up with foam dimensionals.  The card base is PTI vinatge cream.  I added some DSP from the "Be Merry" paper pad by My Mind's eye.  I ran a strip of PTI kraft CS through the SU square lattice embossing folder and matted on PTI dark choclate card stock.  I punched the edges with the SU eyelet border punch.  I added some yummy 1" red grosgrain / satin edge ribbon and some ivory jute / burlap twine from the Ribbon Carousel along with a big 'ol PTI dark chocolate button.  Finally, I added some frosted lace Stickles to the trim and pom pom on Rhubarb's hat.

Here's the sketch:

Now it's your turn to play along with us!  Head on over to the Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge blog and link up your creation!   You do not have to use Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps t play along, but we sure love it when you do!  Be sure to use keyword "SSS135" when uploading your card to an online gallery!

I'm the JUGS November Guest Designer - JUGS111

I back again for my 3rd round as this month's Guest Designer at the the Just Us Girls Challenge blog!  It's such an honor to get a chance to play along with the talented DT!  This week's challenge is a color challenge with the Holidays in mind.....red, white, and green!  I have a craft fair coming up and one of my big seller is always my wine wraps with matching wine bottle tags so making some with this week's color challenge was a cinch!

Here's a close up of the tag:

That adorable image is Candy Cane Elfling  by Whimsie Doodles.  I colored her with copics, added some Frosted lace stickles to the tim on her hat and added some Glossy accents to the candy cane.  I die cut the tag using the PTI Mat Stack #3 die.  I stamped the Christmas text from the PTI Background Basics: Christmas stamp set in SU crumb cake ink and sponged the edges of the tag as well.   I stamped an A Muse Art Stamps snowflake in PTI fresh snow ink onto kraft CS and matted it with red CS.  I used some PTI ripe avocado saddle stitch ribbon and twine to attach the tag to the bottle.  I stamped the same snowflake in PTI fresh snow ink onto PTI pure poppy CS.  Score tape does the trick to adhere the label to the bottle.

Now head on over to the Just Us Girls Challenge blog and play along with us this week!  Be sure to check out the DT's creations, too, for some added inspiration!  If you aren't already in the Holiday spirit, you will be after playing along with this challenge!

At the request of the person who ordered this card,  I added an inside sentiment that says, "Golf balls get more dimpled with age."  HA!  Here's the sketch:

PTI Hot Cocoa Sliders

Tis the season for craft fairs and token gifts for co-workers and teachers.....and now "Paper Perfect Design" Parties!"  My friend hosted a party for me last night and it was very successful!  I sold lots of cards and paper crafted goodies, was approached about making wedding favors, bridal shower invitations, AND was asked if I would do another party!
Ummmm, YES!

Fa la la la la la la ka-ching!

Anyway, I've made hot cocoa sliders in the past and you can see them HERE with a link to a tutorial, but I wanted to show you my 2011 version.

These were pretty popular last night.  20 were ordered and I will be working on those this week.  In looking at this picture, I think I will sponge some SU chocolate chip ink around the edges of the kraft card stock when I make them.  So, I started with the PTI kraft card base and added some DSP from the DCWV Homemade Christmas Stack.  I die cut a PTI Mat Stack #4 out of PTI white CS and sponged the edges with PTI chamomile ink.   I die cut the cup  with the  PTI Warm Happiness die and stamped the outline of the cup and the sentiment from the PTI Warm Happiness Too stamp set in SU chocolate chop ink.  I layered the sentiment in PTI dark chocolate CS and popped it up with foam dimensionals.  The ribbon is SU chocolate chip satin ribbon.

Post-It Note Holder & Pen Set

I've made these cute little post it note holders in the past, but I am making them again and I really like how this one came out so I thought I would share it.  These make great gifts for co-workers or teachers, too, so there's my other reason for wanting to share this.  Tis the season!

For a link to the tutoral, check out my previous post
with a teacher themed set HERE!

I used the PTI Take Note Stamp set and the Tag-Its #9 mini stamp set.  The CS is PTI royal velvet, ripe avocado, and vintage cream and the dsP is PTI Pacific Vineyard.

It's Saturday!  Woot! Woot!  Another work week down!  Saturday means it's time to play along with the Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge!  As soon as I saw this funny little Make it Snappy - Reindeer Trio digital stamp by Bugaboo Digi Stamps, I knew I wanted to use it for this week's sketch!

I colored the image with copics and added some Stickles to make the stars and light bulbs tangled amongst the reindeer's antlers shine.  I paired it with some PTI dark chocolate and kraft CS and some DSP from the My Mind's Eye signature Christmas 6x6 paper pad.  I added some 5/8" natural crochet ribbon, a big 'ol PTI dark chocolate button, and some natural jute / twine.

Here's the sketch:

I'm the JUGS Guest Designer - JUGS110

It's Round 2 for me as this months Just Us Girls Guest Designer and this week it is a technique challenge!  It's called "ghosting" and you can find the tutorial HERE.  I decided to use the FTL164 layout and the PTI Tag Its #7 mini stamp set to make my card this week.

I started off by using the PTI woodgrain impression plate on the PTI kraft card base.  I considered buying that impression plate for a long time, but I am so glad I did.  Now I can't step away from it!  I used Tim Holtz distress inks in tea dye and walnut stain and and I matted the image with PTI white CS.   I stamped the cicular image in SU chocolate chip and cajun craze and added a strip of PTI dark chocolate CS to complete the card.

Now it's your turn to play along with us! Link up your creations on the Just Us Girls Challenge Blog and if you upload your card to an online gallery like Splitcoast Stampers, be sure to label it with the keyword JUGS110!

Paper and Such Challenge - Paper Piecing

It's time for another Paper and Such challenge and this time the challenge is to use of of my all time favorite techniques......paper piecing!  It's like playing dress up with an image!  I decided to dress up this cute little snowman from the newly released Snow Folks stamp set by giving him a paper pieced scarf in pretty designer paper from the Echo Park Seasons Greetings & Dots and Stripes Paper Pads.

Snowman Poop.....that's just funny!
I make these every year for craft shows and they always sell out.
Just goes to show you that everyone love potty humor!

Now head on over to the Paper and Such blog and link up your creation for a chance to win a prize along with a cool bragging rights badge for your blog!  You can use ANY image you want.  It doe snot need to be an image sold in the Paper and Such store, but we sure love it when you do!   The only rule is that you can't enter more than twice.  That's it.  Just that one.

Be sure to check out some additional inspiration from my fellow DT members!
