Dino Birthday Wishes

Just a little birthday card featuring this oh so cute dino from the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Cute-a-saurus stamp set!

I used a random scrap of PP and paried with some Bazzill Card Shoppe peanut cluster CS.  I used my MFT Die-namics circle STAX to cut out part of the circle from the PP.  I added some faux stitch with a white gel pen.  I colored my image with copics and added some Stickles to the center of his flowers.  I embellished with three buttons to repeat the colors of the flowers.

TSG209 - Circles

This week's challenge on the There She Goes blog is to make a card or project using circles, whether they be die cuts, or on patterned paper, think round!!

I am playing along with the "Get Your Thong On" stamp set.  

I stamped the images in Momento tuxedo black ink onto X-Press It blending card and colored them with copics.  I added some orange peel Stickles to the center of the flowers on the flip flops.  I die cut the circlesusing the MFT circle STAX Die-Namics.  I ran the center circle through the Big Shot in a Cuttlebug embossing folder for even moe circles.  I stamped the sentiment in MFT black licorice ink.

Hello Sunshine

It has been raining here in the Boston area.....for a week.   Miserable.   Rumor has it that the sun will make an appearance tomorrow.  It seemed like a good time to color up Tiddly Inks "Wryn Beach Babe" to welcome the sun back.  I am entering this chard in the Tiddly Inks Challenge #110  which is to use a Wryn image.

MFTWSC125 - Thanks!

I'm playing along with this week's MFTWSC125 with one of my favorite Pure Innocence stamp sets called "Being Cute is What I Do."

I colored my image in copics and paper pieced her top .  I fussy cut her out and popped her up with foam dots.  I paired some PP from the Doodlebug Designs "Fruit Stand" 6x6 paper pad with some MFT razzle berry, lemon drop, and sweet tooth CS. I paper pierced the purple panel.  I created the the flower using my favorite MFT Die-Namics flower die called Pretty Posies and I used the MFT fishtail flags STAX Die-Namics to create the sentiment panel.  The sentiment is from the MFT Essential Sentiments stamp set which I stamped in MFT black licoice ink.  I added a few hot pink rhinestones, some button, and hemp cord to embellish.

I stamped my image in Momento tuxedo black ink and colored it with copics.  I used the MFT oval STAX Die-Namics to cut her out and mat the image,  I paired some MFT sweet tooth and black licorice CS with some PP fom the Carta Bella Cool Summer 6x6 paper pad.  I added some hot pink vintage seam binding to embellish.

Today the There She Goes Trendsetters of past and present have come put together a surprise Birthday Blog Hop in honor of Jessica Knutsen, owner of There She Goes Clear Stamps! 

I have had the honor of designing for There She Goes Clear stamps since March of 2012 and I have had the chance to hang out with Jessica twice "in real life."  She is a fun loving chick who loves to laugh and is an amazing designer herself!   

Jess and her family are on the brink of relocating from Washington o Texas so I thought I would ink up the Giddy Up set to create a Western themed birthday card in honor of her move.

I stamped the image onto X-Press It blending card in Momento tuxedo black ink and colored her with copics.  I paper pieced her shirt with papers from the Farm House Fair Skies 6x6 paper pad.  I paired some MFT smooth white, black licorice, and red hot CS with PP from the Penny Black Madison 6x6 paper pad.  I used a die from the MFT Blueprints 1 Die-Namics and a die from the Sweet 'N Sasy Stamps Star die set.

Under the Weather

This week on the 7 Kids College Fund challenge blog, the challenge is an embellishments challenge.  

Ugh. My style is definitely more on the cleaner side so the MOST I could get myself to do for embellishments was to use some vintage seam binding, a button and some twine, but THAT is where I draw the line.  I gotta be me!  

 I am playing along with the MFT Pure Innocence Under the Weather stamp set.  

I stamped my image in Momento tuxedo black ink onto X-Press it blending card,  I colored my image with copics and did a bunch of paper piecing,  The PP is from the Echo Park "Bundle of Joy Girl" 6x6 paper pad.    which I paired with MFT pink lemonade, hot fudge, and sweet tooth CS.  The card base is Bazzill Card Shoppe peanut cluster CS.  I added some siam pink vintage seam binding, a white button, and some MFT hemp cord.   I stamped the sentiment in MFT hot fudge ink.

I used my Silhouette Portrait to cut out the fish bowl.  Yep. When I saw the newest Tiddly Inks, I immediately asked Tabitha at the 7 Kids College Fund if she was going to be carrying them in the store.  She ordered them up right away!  I HAD TO HAVE the new Hopping By stamp set to make a birthday card for my daughter who tuns 11 tomorrow.  Lauren loves to play on the pogo stick so this image is PERFECT!

MFTWSC124 - Go Confidently

Graduation time is upon us so I decided to use this week's MFTWSC challenge #124 as my inspiration to get a graduation card done for our babysitter.   

I thought that the sentiment from the new  Life's Directions stamp set 

was perfect for a graduation card.

I love the coverage of the MFT inks!  If you have not tried them yet, you must!  I use Momento tuxedo black for images that I will color with copics, but for sentiments,  I only use MFT inks now.

I stamped the image in Momento tuxedo black ink onto a PTI white CS base and colored her with copics.  I paper pieced her sarong with some PP from the Echo Park For the Record 2 Documented 6x6 paper pad and used a stip of the same paper for the top of the card.  I used a die from the MFT dotted scallop border trio Die-Namics to create the border and added some ivory jute.

I stamped my image in Momento tuxedo black ink onto X-Press It blending card.  I colored the image with copics and paper pieced Lucas' bathing suit.  Using a die cut from the Taylored Expressions could die duo as a template, I sponged some MFT berrylicious ink around the image.   I ran the MFT red hot CS panels through the Big Shot using the Chevrons 6x6 Embossalicious embossing folder by Crafter's Companion.  The PP  is from the Fancy Pants "Down by the Shore" 6x6 paper pad. I matted with MFT black CS and used an MFT sweet tooth CS card base.  I stamped the sentiment in MFT black licorice ink.

First up is Lexi, my favorite of Cheryl's characters: 

I stamped the image onto X-Press It blending card in Momento tuxedo black ink and colored it with copics. Using a die cut from the MFT wonkey scallop border Die-Namics for a cloud template, Isponged some MFT berrylicious ink around the image,  I added some grass with the MFT grassy edges Die-Namics.  I usedmy the MFT circle STAX to cut out and layer my image.  I paired some MFT sweet tooth and black licorice CS with some PP from the Carta Bella "Cool Summer" 6x6 pad.  I created the flower using dies from the MFT blueprints 3 Die-Namics.  

Next up is sweet little Lulu:

I love how Sassy she looks wearing her big 'ol sun glasses!  I stamped the image onto X-Press It blending card in Momento tuxedo black ink and colored her with copics.  I added some Diamond Glaze her sun glasses and used a white gel pen to add the polka dits to her swim suit.   Using a die cut from the MFT wonkey scallop boder Die-Namics for a cloud template, I sponged some MFT Berrylicious ink onto the MFT smooth white CS.  I used some PP from the Carta Bella Cool Summer 6x6 paper pad fo the waves.  I tore some MFT kraft CS for the sand.  For the son, I used a die from the MFT blueprints 1 Die-Namics.

I made a little somethin' somethin' to celebrate........with a donkey, of course! 

I inked up the There She Goes "Ba Donkey Donk" stamps set.  I paper pieced the balloons which are from the Tiddly Inks "Flying High" clear stamp set.  The sentiment is from the MFT a la mode Martinis on Me stamp set.
