Today I have the honor of participating in a very special blog hop. As you may have know, I am a Brand Ambassador for Perfect Paper Crafting and today we have team up with Operation Write Home to help them celebrate their birthday.
If you are not familiar with Operation Write Home, here's a little bit about who they are and why I am so honored to be participating in today's hop to support them and their cause:
This merry band of thousands of cardmakers is made up of Americans – and citizens of other nations too – who care about our military, and want to support them through creativity and encouragement. Many thousands of crafters of all ages and levels of experience have participated since 2007!
Care packages filled with hundreds of handmade cards are sent to our contacts, restocking every 6-8 weeks, and are sent in time for the long journey back home to loved ones. Each box is packed with great care, alternating styles, colors, and cardmakers from all over the USA, creating “eye candy” for heroes who see only khaki around them. The topper on each box is a plastic bag filled with 20-30 letters from adults and children across the country, letters handed out especially to those in need of a positive word from the homefront.
Boxes are shipped through every week of the year, so join us anytime in sending your beautiful creations to help our heroes keep in touch with home!
If you would like to participate and support our troops and their families by making a card or two or more, be sure to check out the OWH guidelines HERE.
I used the OWH Sketch #21 to show off what you can do with your Perfect Paper Crafting Perfect Layers tool. Look at all those perfectly layered panels! The Perfect Layers tool makes it so easy to do! I also used the Perfect Ruler to help me place the panel and equal distance from one another. Be sure to use the code Kim5% to get 5% off your order!
Here's close up of my coloring. I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder. I used a white gel pen to add freckles to her cheeks.
Here is the sketch I used. You can find a list of all of the OWH sketches here.
Your next stop on the hop is Paula's Blog!
If you happened to start here, head back to the beginning of the hop HERE so you don't miss any crafty inspiration! There will be a $50 gift certificate from Perfect Paper Crafting for one lucky person who leaves a comment on all the blogs.
