Bee Happy for some BLOG CANDY

Hey! Hey! Hey!  (Think "Blurred Lines".....not Fat Albert!)

Notice my new spruced up blog and domain name?!  Lets face it.......I'm sort of known for typos.  If you have ever conversed with me via Facebook, email, or text, you know it.  Typing http://paperperfectdesigns.blogspot.com was risky.  I was bound to make a mistake.   It's SOOOOOO long!  So, you can now find me by simply typing http://kimoconnell.com.   I loved Debbie Carriere's new clean blog design and noticed she got her template from Designer Blogs so I selected a nice clean one for myself, too!  Like it?!

In honor of new and improved blog design and domain name, I am giving away a little blog candy!  Let me first share a card I made using some new tools!   I am playing along with the Sweet Stop's challenge #222 with an adorable stamp set by My Favorite Things called Doodle Garden Sweet as Can Bee.

I created my own pattern paper using a stamp from the My Favorite Things Washi Patterns stamp set set.  I stamped it in black licorice ink onto lemon drop CS.  I matted with black licorice CS.

skin - E11, E21, E00, E000, R22, R20, R30
hair and shoes- C9, C7, C5, C3, C2
body - C9, C7, C5, C3, C2, Y17, Y15, Y13

Notice those perfect layers?!  If you are a frequent visitor of  my blog, you know I love to mat my images and panels...usually with black or brown.  Perfect Paper Crafting has the coolest tools to make layering a cinch every single time!   You can create perfect layers as small as 1/16 of inch up to 1 inch with the Perfect Layers Deluxe 3 Tool set  WITH  NO  MEASURING! You just line the tool up against the edge of the panel that you are matting and there is a little lip on the tool so "grabs" the edge of the paper.  Just a quick sweep of the X-Acto knife and you have a perfect layer!

Here's the Perfect Layer video tutorial that I snagged from the website:

How cool is that?!   But wait....that's not all!  I also used another cool tool from Paper Perfect Crafting called the Perfect Ruler!  One of my favorite things about it is that is has a centering ruler so that I can easily center my images on my cards......without needing to do math!  No more eyeballing things when trying to center your images!  This takes the guess work out of it and it is perfect every time!

Here's another video to show you all the perks of this handy ruler!

I am so impressed with these tools that I have agreed to be a Brand Ambassador!
What that means is that I can save you 5% off anything in the Paper Perfect Crafting Store when you use the code Kim5% at checkout!
