TSG164 - Sew Thankful

This week's There She Goes challenge is brought to us by Wendy! She has challenged us to make a card or project using stitching of any kind, faux or real! Sewing is SUCH a popular trend, and adds so much character to a card or project. You can also use Karen’s Wednesday Trends post from last month for some quick tips on sewing!

I must confess that I asked for the Janome Sew Mini for Mother's Day and it had been sitting in the box since then.  I was completely scared of it.  My good friend Corinna McGregor encouraged me to get the damn thing and told me to watch the Stamp TV video's on sewing with the Janome Sew Mini and they start with taking it out of the box!    EXACTLY what I needed!

If you want to learn to stitch on your cards, get the Janome Sew Mini and watch those videos!  I learned to set up my sewing machine AND sew in 30 minutes!

Here's is my very first card made with stitching!

LOOK AT ME SEWING!!!

I inked up the Cute as a Button stamp set for this card.  I paired some Bazzill Card Shoppe marshmallow and wax lips CS with some DSP from the Echo Park So Happy Together 6x6 paper pad.  I added some buttons and natural jute to embellish.

Play along with us for a chance to win a $5.00 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!!
To be eligible for the giveaway, create a card or project using the inspiration photo, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz on the TSG blog. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (July 16th). Please use the keyword TSG164 so we can check out your beautiful work!
