VLVAPR2011 - Happy New Baby
I got some new Verve Stamps in the mail today so I was anxious to create something with them. I decided to ink up an image and sentiment from the "To the Moon" set and play along with the Viva La Verve sketch challenge. I colored the image with copics and paired this with DCWV Linen Closet patterned paper.

CQC #79 - Wish Big
I'm still smiling after learning that I won this past week's ColourQ challenge! What a confidence boost that was! So, of course I was anxious to play along again with this week's ColourQ Challenge!
The bold bright colors made me think of a birthday card so I inked up my newest PTI stamp set, 2011 Birthday Tags. I ran the mambo melon card stock through the SU square lattice embossing folder (love that thing!) and then went nuts with my punches! I simply added some black satin ribbon for a finishing touch. It's like a party on paper!

(Insert applause here) This entry is for the Color Throwdown Challenge #135, Stamping 411's Saturday Sketch Challenge #189, and the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge #18.

As soon as I saw Jen del Muro's April's Sketch for You to Try, I wanted to play along. I inked up another one of my newest purchases from MFT....this cute "Hanging with my Peeps" stamp set. I LOVE how this came out! I paper pieced her dress and sweater with some patterned paper from My Mind's Eye "Tickled Pink" 6x6 paper pad and used matching and coordinating papers on the rest of the card. I paired it some PTI dark chocolate, white, and kraft card stock. I sponged some PTI chai ink around the edges of my kraft panel and colored my gemstones with my copics

Teacher Appreciation is the week of May 2nd and the end of the school year will be here before we know it. I always do a school craft fair in May and teacher's gifts are a big seller. I decided to use Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #111 as inspiration for a teacher's card today. I bought ths MFT Teacher's Pet stamp set & this sketch was a perfect fit for the image in that set. I paired it with some patterned paper from the Jillibean Soup "Blossom Soup" 6x6 mini pad. I ran the card stock through my Big Shot using the PTI Book Plate impression plate.

Baby Shower Pocket Invitations
I was asked to make invitations for a baby shower. The couple do not know the sex of the baby. I was told that they went with a yellow and white theme for the nursery so I went with that color scheme for the invitations.
To make the pocket, I started with a 4.25" x 11" piece of PTI harvest gold card stock. I scored it at 1.25" and 5.5". I used red sticky tape along the edges to close it. I used my corner chomper to round the edges. Before adhering the flap down, I embossed a 4.25" x 4.25" piece of PTI white card stock using the SU polka dot embossing folder and adhered it to the front of the pocket. I embellished the flap with a border made from white card stock punched with a SU eyelet border punch and a 3/8" x 4.25 strip of Bo Bunny Mellow Yellow Dot patterned paper. I stamped "You're invited" (from the SU Blissful Bride stamp set in Momento Tuxedo black. I used the PTI Beautiful Blooms II #1 die collection to create the flower embellishment. The onesie is from the SU Baby Bundle set and I colored it with copics.
The tag is 3,25" x 4.75". I rounded the corners with my corner chomper and added a 3/8" strip of coordinating patterned paper. I added a piece of PTI Harvest Gold bitty dot satin ribbon.
Here's another view:
And for a finishing touch, I used the PTI A2 envelope liner die to line all of the envelopes with matching patterned paper.
