Awwwww yeah! Welcome to the MFT Februry Release Countdown Days!
Today we are kicking off the first of 7 days of countdowns where we will give you a sneak peek of many of the new stamps and Die-namics that will be released on Tuesday, February 11th at 10:00 PM EST. Ready to get started? Of course you are!
My first card today features the new Forget Me Not stamp set by Lisa Johnson.
I used the masking technique to create this card. I started by die cutting a circle using the Die-namics circle STAX set 1 and stamping the stem and flowers in sour apple and grape jelly ink. I then created a mask using the Mask It Medium Tack Masking Film and covered the stamped image. I used the text stamp from the stamp set and stamped over the mask in black licorice ink.
I matted the image using the Die-namics circle STAX set 2 and some grape jelly CS. I created the sentiment strip using a die from the Die-Namics Blueprints 3 and stamped the sentiment in black licorice ink. I again matted with grape jelly CS.
For the inside, I simply stamped another flowers and matted with grape jelly CS.
For the inside, I used one of the rectangular dies with stitching from the Die-Namics Blueprints 12 and repeated what I had done on the outside of the card with the text stamp from the Forget Me Not stamp set and the woodgrain background stamp.
For the inside, I simply stamped another flowers and matted with grape jelly CS.
How many of you love the Blueprints? Wait until you see Blueprints 12! It's definitely one of my favorites! The pieces in it are so versatile and if you love stitching, you 're going to want this!
I used the largest die to cut the square panel and I stamped it with the woodgrain background stamp in sweet tooth ink. I then die cut the two rectangular panels with the stitched edges in grapesicle CS and stamped those with the text stamp from the new Forget Me Not stamp set in grapesicle ink. I matted with some grape jelly CS.
I die cut the circular panel in smooth white CS and stamped the sentiment from the new Forget Me Not stamp set in grape jelly ink. I layered the grape jelly and grapesicle die cut banners beneath it.
I die cut the flower in sno cone and banana split CS and sponged some sno cone ink on the edges of the petals. I die cut the leaves in sour apple felt.
For the inside, I used one of the rectangular dies with stitching from the Die-Namics Blueprints 12 and repeated what I had done on the outside of the card with the text stamp from the Forget Me Not stamp set and the woodgrain background stamp.
