MFT February Release Countdown - Day 2

EEEEEP!  WE're getting close!  We're just 2 days away from the MFT February release!   It will be launched tomorrow night at 10:00 PM EST!

Today I featuring one of the newest Pure Innocent stamp set on the block and gosh, she is fun to color!   Introducing Pure Innocence Sassitude!

I started with a sweet tooth CS card base,  I used the new Die-namics Fishnet Cover-Up along with the Die-namics circle STAX sets 1 and 2 to create the circular panel.   I used a die from the Die-namics Blueprints 12 to create the banners and stamped the sentiment in black licorice ink.   I embellished with some razzle berry grosgrain ribbon, a black licorice button, and some hemp cord.

I colored my image with copics and used a white gel pen to add her freckles and a black gel pen to the cheetah pattern to her top to match her boots.

For the inside, I created the banners with a die from the Die-namics Blueprints 12.  I stamped the Pure Innocence Sassitude image and one of the sentiments and colored only the bow.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!   Please head on over to the MFT Blog for a listing of all the designers participating in today's Release Countdown and for a chance to win a $75 Gift Certificate to the MFT Boutique!

  2. Love your card! How did you do her skirt? Soooo cute! Was the ribbon already in ruffle form, or did you gather it? Sorry, we both seem to have many questions... She really is adorable!

    1. Thank you! The skirt is colored with copics (C9, C7,C5, and C3). As far as the ribbon goes, I used the "Bow Easy" tool to tie to the bow and adhered it with a glue gun.

    2. OMG, Kim! You did such a great job of coloring—getting depth and relief in the ruffles of the skirt—I actually thought the skirt was some type of gathered ribbon! That is a real compliment! You made the fabric of the skirt look real! You must have thought I was crazy asking about "the ribbon!" Anyway, congratulations on using your Copics!
