SugarPea Designs Creative Color Challenge 05

Ready to play along with the Creative Color Challenge #5?   If you love Halloween colors, you will love this month's color palette! 

I played along with the SugarPea Designs Undying Love.

I chose some a piece of patterned paper from the Doodlebug Design Haunted Manor 6x6 paper pad that had all the right colors in it and then colored my image with copics based on that.

I used the SugarCuts - Zig Zag Stitched Circles to die cut my image.   I smudged her face with a black General's pastel chalk pencil and then added some smudging around the image.  I wet with the stippling technigue to add the halo around her.  

I am also playing along with the Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge #288.

Now, back to the Creative Color Challenge.  Here is the color palette.

Happy Fall

Goodbye, Summer.  Hello, Fall!   While I hate to see the summer wind down, I do love when C.C. Designs releases it's fall images and the September release did not disappoint!   

Today I am getting my "fall" on and showing off one of my latest creations featuring the new Meoples Nutty Buddies! 

I created the woodgrain panel using a die from the new Cutter Make a Card #9 Autumn die set. I used that same die set to die cut the trio of leaves.

I colored my image with copics and used a white gel pen to add some details to the owl's face.  I hope this creation puts you in the mood for sweater weather, apple picking, hay rides, and fire pits!

MOJO414 - Nuttin' Better

It's been awhile since I played along with the MOJO Monday Sketch challenge.  The MOJO41 sketch caught my eye and gave me a reason to play along with some of the newly released products from SugarPea Designs! 

I chose some papers from the Pebbles Harvest 6x6 paper pad and paired it with smoe MFT whip cream, hot fudge and kraft card stock.  I used the new SugarPea Designs SugarCuts - Woodgrain Journal Card to emboss the kraft panel .

I die cut those cute little acorns using the new SugarPea Designs SugarCuts - Stitched Autumn Icons.  I colored them with copics and dotted a colorless blender across the tops of he acorns to give them the appearance of texture.   I stamped that perfect sentiment from the SugarPea Designs Nuts About You stamp set.
