SPDSS26 - Just a Phone Call Away

We've got a fun SugarSketch for you to tackle over on the SugarPea Designs blog this week!  Be sure to play along for a chance to WIN a gift certificate to the SugarPea Designs online shoppe!

I played along with one of my favorite SugarPea Designs stamp sets called Tin Can Chat.

I chose some pretty patterned papers from the Simple Stories Vintage Bliss 6x6 paper pad.

Don;t you just love her face?!   I colored my image with both copics and General's pastel chalk pencils.  I used a white gel pen to add her freckles and some highlights to the tin can. I paper pieced her shirt and added some shading with a black chalk pencil. I love that sentiment from the set!  It makes for a perfect card to send to a friend going through a tough time.  I embellished with a button and some twine.

Skin - E11, E21, E00, E000, R20, R30
hair - E57, E35, E53, E51
background - BG11, BG10, colorless blender

Here is the sketch:

The rules are very simple…
  • Create a new card or project using the SugarSketch provided.  SugarPea Designs stamps are NOT required to play along or to win but would be appreciated :)
  • You may rotate/flip the sketch & replace shapes – so long as the original sketch layout is recognizable.
  • Upload to the SugarPea Designs blog or other Online Gallery using Keyword: SPDSS26 so that we may check out your beautiful work.
  • Add your name and link to your project in the InLinkz in the SugarPea Designs blog
  • One randomly selected winner will receive a $10 Gift Certificate to the SugarPea Designs Online Shoppe. However, if the winning entry features a SugarPea Designs stamp we will increase the prize to $15

Now head on over to the SugarPea Designs blog for a list of designers who have  card to share for some crafty inspiration before you tackle the sketch yourself and play along!
