YNS Blog Hop

I have the honor of being one of Your Next Stamps guest designers this month and it there is lots going on so I am thrilled to be a part of it!

  There is a special Blog Hop this month because Your Next Stamp is celebrating its 3^rd Birthday!!!  We are so excited about this milestone, and we have some fun and ADORABLE projects to share with you today!

We are making this hop even more fun, because we have put together a scavenger hunt!  Each DT member and guest has a bold, colored letter on her blog.  Collect all the letters and unscramble them to find the special saying.  Once you do that, e-mail Karen at karen@yournextstamp.com and you will qualify for the $25 YNS shopping spree GRAND PRIZE!!!

Onto my project:

I fell in love with this "Ellie Loves to Fish" image as soon as I saw it!  It's a fun one to color!  I started by die cutting a circle on X-Press It blending card with a MFT Die-Namics circle STAX 1 die.  I used used the MFT Die-Namics wonky scallop border to create a template and then used a stippling brush to create the clouds with some A Muse Studios sky ink.  I stamped the image again and cut out the area that would be the sky.  I layed this over the circle of clouds to create the little circular scene.  I colored it with copics and paired some Bazill Card Shoppe sour lemon and candy bar CS with some DSP from the Echo Park Happy Day 6x6 paper pad.  Finally, I added some brown solid grosgrain ribbon  from the Ribbon Carousel.
